Honeyed SPAM is a delicious snack here is the recipe :
Ingredience:
- 1 tin Classic SPAM
- 1 jar clear honey
Chill the SPAM overnight in the fridge, this will make it easier to slice. Remove the SPAM from the can and slice into 1/4 inch slices. Take a sharp knife and score a criss-cross pattern in the top and bottom of each slice. This will help the honey stick to the surface, the should be about 1/8th of and inch apart. Take a cooking brush and brush the surface of the SPAM liberally with honey, the thickness depends on how much of a sweet tooth you have. Lay the slices on a plate spaced evenly. Place in the fridge for at least two hours to allow the flavour no mellow. To cook, take a non-stick pan and use no oil as this will taint the flavour. Once the pan is a nice temperature place the SPAM in the pan, do not allow the spam to overlap. Cook evenly down 10 minutes , flipping each slice for even cooking.
